An initial consultation
can be organised by phone or email enquiry. I will ask you to send me copies of any professional reports you have such as a Wechsler Intelligence Scale Fourth Edition (WISC IV) or a Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale (SB5) psychometric assessment, a speech pathologist’s report, an occupational therapist’s report, a report from a paediatric specialist, your child’s last school report and a note from you telling me of your concerns and observations of your child’s strengths and weaknesses and his/her learning progress.
I read these before we meet for a time of 1.5 hours when we will decide future directions. I may need to test your child with the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test Second Edition (WIAT-II) Australian Standardised Edition or other qualitative checklists in order to gain a very accurate picture of his/her accuracy and fluency in literacy and numeracy.
